November 1 is the beginning of the Minnesota Give to the Max program for nonprofit giving. Let’s also think of this date as the beginning of Judson’s Holiday Giving Campaign, which extends through Thanksgiving and Christmas.
In our church budget is an income goal to raise $10,900 between now and December 31 to meet church expenses.
As a church, we also like to give to important needs in our community. So, if we meet our $10,900 goal through our Holiday Giving Campaign, we could then use our Easter giving to fund a special need in the community instead of using Easter giving for our own church expenses.
How do I make a gift towards the Holiday Giving Campaign?
1. You could write a check or make a cash donation in one of the special
Thanksgiving envelopes in the pews
2. You can go to the Give to the Max website for Judson, GiveMN, and click the “Donate” button there. (Note: There is a charge of 6.9% when you make a gift through Give to the Max.)
3. Giving Tuesday, another special giving day occurs on December 1
4. Make a contribution at Christmas time to the Christmas Offering
5. And finally, perhaps one or more people may decide to get together to create a
matching contribution as incentive for the rest of us – please talk to Eileen
about that idea
All of these are ways to contribute towards our budget goal to reach $10,900 by December 31.
