Tackle Hunger: Attend the 14th Annual Empty Bowls Meal
Empty Bowls brings our community together every “SOUPer Bowl Sunday” to raise funds for local nonprofits while sharing a meal of soup, bread, and dessert donated by local restaurants. For a suggested donation of $25 you select a handmade bowl donated by local artists to eat out of and then take home.
This year’s event will be held on Sunday, February 9 at Judson Church, 4101 Harriet Ave, from 10 AM – 2 PM. This communal meal raises funds for affordable housing and hunger-solution work in our community.
This year our partners are:
- Nicollet Square – Providing efficiency apartments for formerly homeless youth, along with social, emotional, and job support.
- TRUST Meals on Wheels – Promoting health and independence for elders by providing daily, nutritious food as well as human connection.
- Harvest from the Heart – A unique food shelf in South Minneapolis offering a dignified shopping experience for everyone, regardless of income or residency.
- Kingfield Neighborhood Association – Local neighborhood association supporting affordable housing options for residents.
This event is open to residents of ALL neighborhoods. Please mark your calendar to attend Empty Bowls and support the work of these worthy partner organizations. You’ll leave with a unique ceramic bowl, a belly full of soup, and a deeper community connection.
